Debates are ever so important. We need to explore differences and learn from one another. This is not the only forum where contentious issues will be explored, but if you don’t know where to go have the debate here. Nationally the Campaign against Climate Change holds the view that sometimes there will be passionate differences amongst people who care about the global warming. Nuclear power is an example. Incineration may be another example. We need to ensure that we are a broad church that can encompass differences.

Nobody is saying that technologies have all the answers. The critical factor is having the political will. However we also need to explore and discuss those technologies which can be used to help us reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
