I know it sounds too good to be true. The solution is a new application of existing technology called Air Fuel Synthesis or AFS for short. AFS is a method of making fuels, ranging from petrol to diesel and Jet-A, using renewable energy together with raw materials of water, and the carbon dioxide from the air.

This process has been tested in the labs and the inventors are now in the process of trying to obtain funding, to take a unit around the country on the back of lorry, where they want to demonstrate it actually being done,

For more information about AFS see the attached press statement. On of the people behind it is Professor Tony Marmont, based near Leicester: see Tony.Marmont@airfuelsynthesis.com

Thats a good idea. If they are efficient in the small scale local garages may have one each. However one of the problems with the car is local pollution caused by exhaust fumes and the other environmental pollution of having our cities cluttered up by parked cars and out streets jammed with cars with the main arteries in cities getting overloaded. This technology will not solve those problems.
