I decided to pull together all the ideas together for a Take Action page. I have deliberately done all this on one page. I will sort out the links etc later. But are the general headings right? Am i missing some tricks here? |

Offshoot campaigns
Biofuelwatch was founded by CCC activists concerned over a major campaigning vacuum in the UK. We're benefiting greatly by pooling several peoples' skills/motivation! I've identified the following as further major campaign vacuums that could be worth developing something similar on, even if it's more occasional for now:
(i) Consumer action, wider than merely Esso boycott
(ii) Campaign against international aid and encouragement for fossil fuel energy projects, unless taking place within a strong conditional framework that supports the goal of avoiding dangerous climate change.
(iii) Climate hypocrites: Gordon Brown, Cameron's conservatives.
Anyone interested in building campaigns on these please send me private message or email.
Please comment if there is any existing dedicated campaign being built up on any of these, or if you feel I've left anything out. I'm aware of Boycottbush.net on (i) but I think there's scope for something with a wider-ranging methodology; also sporadic stuff on (ii) especially by People & Planet, and Actiononoil is closely related.
Lastly I wonder if there's scope for a participation grid, whereby people could fill in what actions they've done under the main Take Action page, so as to create buzz around highlighted actions, and a system for new ones to be added (and expired ones still documented).
The Take Action Page
Nice Take Action Page John ! I'm adding links to my news pages and menu as I go along on the theme of "What You Can Do" :-
