If you, like me and possibly hundreds of thousands of other people, watched the final speeches at the end of the election for the Mayor of London on terror-vision, I mean television, you may well have noticed heavy-handed editing.
We heard from Boris Johnson, we heard from Ken Livingstone, we even heard from Brian Paddick. But as soon as Sian Berry came to the microphone, the sound feed was cut.
I'm sure I'm not the only person that would have liked to hear from Sian. I'm not a member of the Green Party. I'm not a member of any political party, in fact. But I would have liked to know what she had to say, on the public stage.
Why did the BBC not consider her words sufficiently important to be played on air ? Why was she treated as if she were part of an organisation that exists to promote hate and violence ?
