During Week 9 of term at LSE, world leaders will meet in Bali to discuss reducing global greenhouse gas emissions and the LSESU will be running a week of events - free and open to all - in the run up to the Saturday 8th December worldwide climate change demonstrations to raise awareness of and promote action for a low carbon world! |

To let you all know. I have started an e-petition to Tony Blair. The petition calls for international adoption of Contraction and Convergence, and the adoption of Carbon Rationing to ensure we hit our UK targets. A coalition of NGOs and groups has announced the Durban Declaration on Carbon Trading, with the publication of a new book exposing the pitfalls of North-South emissions trading. UK signatories include Forest Peoples Programme, London Rising Tide, Rising Tide, Scottish Education and Action for Development, and TRAPESE – Take Radical Action Through Popular Education and Sustainable Everything.
